Kling AI Video Generator: Specs, Modes and How to Use It

Kling is Kuaishou’s video model, one of the few that generates synchronised audio alongside the picture. Run it on the FLORA canvas next to every other video model.

What is the Kling AI video generator?

Kling turns a text prompt or a still image into video, and unlike most models it produces sound at the same time. The audio toggle is on by default, so a single run returns a clip with its own ambience and effects rather than a silent plate you have to score afterwards.

Kling AI video generation runs at the premium end, around 270 seconds a clip, with output up to 4K. It also supports start and end frames, so you can pin where a shot begins and finishes rather than hoping the motion lands. The Kling AI official video generator is Kuaishou’s own app; inside FLORA you get the same models on a canvas with everything else.

Quick facts

  • Modes: Text → Video · Image → Video · start and end frames.

  • Default duration: 5 seconds, selectable from 3s to 15s.

  • Resolution: 1080p by default, 4K available.

  • Aspect ratios: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1.

  • Audio: native sound generation, on by default.

  • Estimated time: around 270 seconds in both modes.

What it’s great for

  • Premium video where picture and sound need to arrive together.

  • Longer clips, up to 15 seconds in one run.

  • Shots where you need to control the first and last frame.

  • Kling AI image to video work, animating a still you already have.

Kling versions

Kling 3.0 Pro is the current flagship and the one this page documents. Earlier builds are still available in FLORA if you have a workflow tuned to them: 2.6 Pro, 2.5 Turbo Pro and 2.1 Master, plus the O1 and O3 Pro variants. Each generation has improved motion coherence and audio sync, so unless you need to match an existing look, start on 3.0 Pro.

Example outputs

5s motion shot

"Fashion editorial close-up video: lower body mid-run on a sunlit walkway with diagonal shadows; vivid red knee-high socks with fluttering ribbon, glossy black Mary Jane kitten heels; elegant and playful mood; strong motion blur, shallow depth of field, warm film grain, high contrast, minimalist background."

Action motion frame

"A high-energy action motion sequence: capture a subject mid-movement as if frozen in time, then released back into motion. Begin with a moment of suspension, the body in mid-air, hair and fabric pulled upward, then flow into the follow-through of impact or landing. Cinematic realism with strong directional light, high shutter speed look for clarity, natural motion blur trailing behind the limbs. Camera: dynamic tracking at 35mm, shifting from a low angle to eye level, emphasizing intensity. The sequence should feel like a compressed burst of energy, one decisive action visualized across just a few seconds."

Image reference (deer)

Image reference (deer)

"A white deer stands on a rocky hilltop under a dark blue sky. The camera zooms rapidly towards the deer's face. The deer stares directly at the camera, its white fur distinct against the rocks. Shadows play across its antlers as the camera moves closer."

Copy-and-paste prompts

Slow push through a forest at dawn, mist between the trees, birdsong and distant water, 8s

Prompt tips

  • Describe the sound as well as the picture. The audio follows your prompt, so name the ambience you want.

  • Use start and end frames when the motion has to land somewhere specific.

  • At 15 seconds, give the shot one clear arc rather than several beats.

Running Kling in FLORA

On the FLORA canvas Kling sits as a video block, so a prompt or a still feeds it directly and the clip flows onward without leaving the board. Both modes have a matching technique: text to video AI for prompt-driven shots, or image to video AI and the AI image to video generator to animate a still.

Because each run takes minutes, plan before you spend. Block the cuts with a storyboard maker, build the environment with a video scene builder, join shots using seamless transition, and finish with the video upscaler.

Run the same shot list through Kling and a rival to compare. Try it against Veo or Seedance, or read our ranking of the best AI video generators. Specs live in the Kling 3.0 Pro docs, and you can open a canvas and try it free.

Kling FAQs

Is Kling AI free?

You can try it on FLORA’s free tier before committing budget. Kling AI free runs draw from workspace credits like any other model, and cost scales with duration and resolution, so a 4K fifteen-second clip costs considerably more than a 1080p five-second one.

Does Kling generate sound?

Yes, and that is its main advantage. Audio is generated natively and synchronised to the picture, with the toggle on by default. Most video models return silent clips.

Who makes Kling?

Kuaishou, the Chinese short-video company. If your organisation has procurement rules about model provenance, that is the fact to check against.

How long can a Kling clip be?

Up to 15 seconds in a single run, with 5 seconds as the default. That is longer than most competing models manage in one pass.

Safety

  • Standard FLORA moderation applies to prompts and generated output.

  • Check rights for any reference image you upload before using output commercially.
