Visual storytelling opportunities: What is unique about THIS specific subject that opens up shot types you wouldn't use for a generic version of it? A vintage car invites different framing than a concept car. A neon-lit ramen shop invites different framing than a fine dining plate. Let the subject's personality drive creative decisions. Use these observations to inform every prompt. The subject must remain clearly recognizable and visually consistent in every frame. Its defining features, proportions, colors and identity must stay intact across all nine outputs. This is the core mechanism that prevents repetitive, one-size-fits-all storyboards. Instead of nine fixed frame types, you select nine shots from the pool below. Your selection must include the 3 ANCHOR shots (which appear in every storyboard) plus 6 shots chosen from the FLEXIBLE pool based on what actually makes sense for the subject. ANCHOR SHOTS (always included, always in these grid positions): A1 | FRAME 1 | TOP LEFT | HERO SHOT The definitive, clean presentation of the subject. Centered, balanced composition. The subject is shown in its most recognizable, iconic form. Lighting is controlled and flattering, revealing form, color and surface detail. This frame establishes the visual tone for the entire series and answers: "What am I looking at?" with total clarity. A2 | FRAME 5 | CENTER | SIGNATURE FRAME The single most visually compelling shot in the series, specific to what this subject is. This is NOT a fixed shot type. It is the frame that best captures the subject's essential visual identity in a way that only works for this kind of subject. For a garment, it might be the drape and fold under movement. For a building, it might be a dramatic perspective through its defining architectural feature. For food, it might be the cross-section or the pour. For a vehicle, it might be motion blur on a specific road. For a person, it might be the gesture or posture that defines their character. You decide what this shot is based on the reference image. Name it specifically. A3 | FRAME 9 | BOTTOM RIGHT | CLOSING SHOT Wide composition with intentional negative space. The subject is present and clear but the frame pulls back to give a sense of completeness and resolution. Clean styling, controlled palette. This is the final image and should land with quiet confidence. FLEXIBLE SHOT POOL (choose 6, assign to remaining grid positions 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8): Select the six shots that create the most varied, interesting, subject-appropriate storyboard. Avoid choosing shots that would produce visually similar results for your specific subject. If two shot types would look nearly identical for your subject, pick one and replace the other with something that adds real variety. DETAIL AND TEXTURE: - INTIMATE DETAIL: Close-up isolating a specific feature, texture or surface. Shallow depth of field. The detail chosen should be the most visually compelling or defining element. - EXTREME MACRO: Abstract-feeling tight crop of a hyper-specific detail: an edge, seam, texture gradient, color transition, material meeting point. On the boundary between photography and texture study. Razor-thin depth of field. - MATERIAL STUDY: Focused on how light interacts with the subject's primary material. ENVIRONMENT AND CONTEXT: - IN CONTEXT: The subject in an environment that naturally fits its identity. Setting is styled and intentional. Subject remains the clear focal point while the environment adds narrative depth. - ORIGIN STORY: The subject shown in or near its place of creation, origin or natural habitat. A garment near a cutting table. A dish with raw ingredients. A building in its neighborhood context. An animal in its ecosystem. - ATMOSPHERIC ENVIRONMENT: The subject within a specific weather, time-of-day or atmospheric condition that transforms the mood. Fog, rain, golden hour, blue hour, harsh midday, overcast softness, dusk. The environment is a character. - ARCHITECTURAL / SPATIAL FRAMING: The subject framed by or interacting with strong architectural or spatial geometry. Doorways, arches, corridors, reflections, leading lines, frames-within-frames. The built environment creates compositional structure. INTERACTION AND NARRATIVE: - IN USE / IN ACTION: The subject being used, worn, held, engaged with, or performing its function. If the subject is a person, they are mid-action. Human elements are anonymous and styled to complement the subject. - HUMAN SCALE: A figure (full body or partial, face not shown) positioned near or interacting with the subject to communicate its physical size and presence. Useful when scale is not obvious. - PROCESS / MAKING: The subject shown mid-creation, mid-assembly, mid-preparation or mid-transformation. Hands at work, tools present, raw materials visible. Foliage, glass, a crowd, a window, a gap. Creates depth layers and voyeuristic intimacy. WILD CARD (high creative ambition): - EDITORIAL CONCEPT: The most creatively ambitious shot. An unexpected scenario, bold juxtaposition, surprising scale play, dramatic material contrast, unconventional angle or striking color moment. Still art-directed and controlled, never chaotic. Think editorial spread energy. What would make someone stop scrolling? After analyzing the reference image, select your 6 flexible shots following these rules: 1. VARIETY IS MANDATORY. Your 9 shots must span at least 4 different categories from the flexible pool. Never pull 3+ shots from the same category. 2. DISTANCE DISTRIBUTION. Across all 9 frames, you must have meaningful variation in camera distance. At minimum: 1 very tight (macro/extreme detail), 2 medium-close, 3 medium, 2 medium-wide, 1 wide. The exact distribution can shift but the range from tight to wide must be present. 3. ANGLE DISTRIBUTION. Vary camera angles across the 9 frames. Do not default to eye-level for more than 4 shots. Include at least 2 shots with distinctly different vertical angles (overhead, low angle, high angle, etc.) 4. NO REDUNDANCY. Before finalizing your selection, check: would any two of your chosen shots produce images that look substantially similar for THIS specific subject? If yes, replace one. 5. SUBJECT-DRIVEN SELECTION. Choose shots that reveal something specific about THIS subject, not shots that would work generically for any subject. A translucent object benefits from backlighting. A massive building benefits from human scale. A textile benefits from material study. A character benefits from narrative moment. Let the subject's unique qualities drive your choices. 6. PACING. The 9 frames should have visual rhythm when viewed in grid order (left to right, top to bottom). Alternate between close and wide, between quiet and energetic, between simple and complex. The grid should breathe. After selecting your 6 flexible shots, assign each to a specific grid position (Frame 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, or 8) with intentional pacing in mind. Reference real camera qualities: controlled depth of field, natural bokeh, accurate material rendering, lens behavior appropriate to the shot type. LIGHTING: Controlled, intentional lighting throughout. The specific setup can shift between frames (soft diffused, hard directional, rim-lit, overhead, golden hour, dramatic) but the overall color temperature and tonal mood must stay consistent across the series. No unmotivated mixed temperatures. COLOR: The color palette across all nine frames must be derived from and harmonious with the reference image. Backgrounds, environments, surfaces and any additional elements should feel like they belong to the same visual world. MATERIALS AND SURFACES: Every surface in every frame (backgrounds, environments, props, textures) must be rendered with photographic realism. No plastic-looking textures, no visual artifacts, no physically impossible reflections or lighting. MOOD: The series reads as one cohesive creative direction. The tone is set by the reference image's inherent personality and carried consistently through all nine frames with intentional variation in energy and pacing. Return your response as: 1. Consistency is non-negotiable. If it is a red jacket in the reference, it is a red jacket in every frame.
