FLORA MCP vs Higgsfield MCP: which should I connect to my AI agent?

FLORA Team

Connect the FLORA MCP when your agent's work has to reach a team: it quotes every run in dollars, generates in batches, and saves each output on a shared FLORA canvas. In our run, the agent quoted four product colorways at $0.055 each, generated all four in one call in under 40 seconds for $0.22, and left them side by side for review.

Key takeaways

  • The FLORA MCP lives at https://agents.flora.ai/mcp; the Higgsfield MCP lives at https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp.
  • FLORA quoted four GPT Image 2.5 Flare images at $0.055 each before running, and charged $0.22 in total.
  • All four colorways came back from one flora_create_generations call in 31 to 37 seconds.
  • Every FLORA output is saved on a shared project canvas with its prompt and model.

What you need

Key features

  • Dollar quotes: Set quote to true and FLORA prices each request in dollars without starting it.
  • Batches: Up to 20 generations in one call, each with its own prompt and model.
  • Canvas output: Each result becomes a canvas node a teammate can open, edit or animate.
  • Canvas control: Agents can add nodes, wire them and run whole chains with flora_run_canvas_nodes.

Best for

  • Product and ecommerce teams generating colorways, sizes and angles
  • Agencies whose agents draft and whose art directors approve
  • Developers who want quotes and costs in the agent's own output
  • Teams that keep image, video and edits in one project

The options

  1. FLORA MCP

FLORA's connector for AI agents: models, dollar quotes, batch generation and canvas tools, with every output saved to a shared FLORA project.

Best for: Agents whose work reaches a team: product sets, campaign stills and clips that people review and edit

    Pros

    • Quoted four images at $0.055 each before running, then charged exactly $0.22.
    • Ran all four colorways in one call in 31 to 37 seconds.
    • Canvas tools let the agent wire and run chains, such as a still into a Seedance 2.5 clip.

    Cons

    • From text alone, product shape can drift between variants; wire one approved image into image-to-image nodes for a matched set.
    • Every run is billed, so quote a batch before you send it.
  2. Higgsfield MCP

Higgsfield's connector, which brings its image, video, editing, character and voice tools into Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.

Best for: Higgsfield subscribers who want its cinematic video, Soul characters and voice tools from chat

    Pros

    • A broad tool set: generation, upscaling, background removal, outpainting, reframing, Kling 3.0 Motion Control and dubbing.
    • Works in ChatGPT as an official plugin, as well as Claude and Cursor.
    • Signs in with a Higgsfield account; no API key.

    Cons

    • Needs an active paid subscription, and every MCP generation deducts credits.
    • The help center describes no hard credit cap; spending limits rely on instructions to the agent.

What happened when our agent ran a job through the FLORA MCP?

On October 16, 2026, we asked an agent in Claude Code for four colorways of a ceramic table lamp through the FLORA MCP. Each prompt read: "Product photo of a ceramic table lamp with a [glaze] glaze and a linen shade, on a walnut sideboard against a plain warm-gray wall, soft daylight from the left, natural muted color, true-to-life," with sage green, oxblood red, oatmeal speckled and slate blue as the glazes.

The agent first called flora_create_generations with quote set to true. FLORA returned $0.055 for each of the four images, with nothing reserved. It then sent the same four items for real in one call, with model t2i-gpt-image-2-5-flare and aspect_ratio 1:1.

All four finished in 31 to 37 seconds and were charged $0.055 each, $0.22 in total. They landed on the project canvas as four nodes, each with its prompt and model, and the agent returned four links.

What went wrong: from text alone, the lamp's body changed shape between colorways, and the model printed titles on the stacked books beside it. For a product set, generate one lamp, approve it, then wire it into image-to-image nodes that change only the glaze, and ask for books with no text.

Text prompts or a reference image for colorways in FLORA: pros and cons

Pros

  • Text prompts: one call, no source image needed.
  • Text prompts: each variant costs the text-to-image price, $0.055 here.
  • Reference image: wire one approved product in and only the color changes.
  • Reference image: the set matches, which matters on a product page.

Cons

  • Text prompts: the product's shape can change between variants.
  • Reference image: each edit costs the image-to-image price, $0.064 for GPT Image 2.5 Flare.
  • Reference image: you need the approved image first.

What can an agent do with the FLORA MCP?

It can list models, quote and start generations, read results, and work on the canvas: add nodes, wire them together and run them. That covers both one-off requests (make this image) and repeatable chains (make the still, animate it, place the clip on a timeline).

  • flora_list_models: models and their settings.
  • flora_create_generations: up to 20 generations, or a dollar quote.
  • flora_list_generations: status, cost and output links.
  • flora_add_to_canvas and flora_run_canvas_nodes: build and run chains.

Where do the results end up?

On a FLORA project canvas. Each output is a node with the prompt, model and settings that made it, so a designer can open the project the agent worked in and keep going from any image.

How do I install the FLORA MCP?

In Claude, add a custom connector with the URL https://agents.flora.ai/mcp and sign in to FLORA. In Cursor, add the same URL to ~/.cursor/mcp.json; Cursor opens a browser to sign you in the first time it calls a FLORA tool.

Which should you connect, the FLORA MCP or the Higgsfield MCP?

Connect the Higgsfield MCP if you already pay for Higgsfield and want its characters, motion control and voice tools in chat. Connect the FLORA MCP when the agent's work has to reach a team: dollar quotes before each run, batches of up to 20, 50+ models and a shared canvas where people review, edit and animate what the agent made. That covers the wider set of professional jobs.

Frequently asked questions

What is the FLORA MCP server URL?

https://agents.flora.ai/mcp. Add it as a custom connector in Claude or to your MCP config in Cursor.

Can the agent tell me the cost before it runs?

Yes. flora_create_generations with quote set to true returns the cost in dollars per request. Our four images were quoted at $0.055 each and charged the same.

Can the FLORA MCP make video?

Yes. The agent wires an image into a Seedance 2.5 video node on the canvas and runs it. A 5-second 720p clip cost $2.457 in our run.
