Generation time depends on the underlying workflow. Most techniques complete in 10 seconds to 5 minutes. You'll see a progress indicator while your generation is running.

Any technique can be run on the FLORA canvas alongside other tools. Open techniques can also be forked — you can see the underlying workflow and modify it to fit your needs.

FLORA offers free credits to get started. Once you've used your free credits, you can purchase more or upgrade to a plan for higher monthly allowances.

How to render SketchUp models without installing a render engine?

Accepted Answer

Capture the view you want from your SketchUp viewport and upload that image as the Technique's input. The Technique works from the geometry, materials, and camera angle in your screenshot and generates rendered versions of that same view, so nothing installs on your machine and no GPU is required. The most common issue is uploading a small or heavily cropped capture, which leaves less detail to work from. Use the largest viewport capture you can.

Can I choose the lighting or time of day?

Not from inside the Technique. Each run returns a set of lighting variations automatically, so a single upload gives you options across daylight, dusk, and night rather than committing to one look up front. Run the Technique again for a fresh set. If you need a specific lighting direction or want to push one variation further, open the output on the FLORA canvas and build on it with other tools.

Does a SketchUp rendering run produce video as well as stills?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Alongside the still images, the workflow returns a short camera move over the rendered scene, which is useful for a client email or a portfolio reel where a static frame feels flat. The motion is pre-set, so framing and speed are not adjustable inside the Technique. For a different camera path, take the output to the FLORA canvas.
